Buddy Rizer Named to Washington Business Journal’s Power 100 List
Buddy Rizer, Executive Director of Loudoun Economic Development, was named to the Washington Business Journal Power 100 for the third time in the past four years, a testament to his dedication to the region’s rapid and steady economic growth.
Under Rizer’s leadership, Loudoun Economic Development has attracted nearly $50 billion in commercial investment within the county – with a record-setting investment of over $10 billion in fiscal year 2023 – providing direct and significant tax rate reductions for Loudoun residents.
This year’s Power 100 list included other leaders with ties to Loudoun County, including Salamander Hotels & Resorts CEO Sheila Johnson, Commanders owners Josh Harris, Mitchell Rales and Mark Ein, Thompson Hospitality Group Chairman Warren Thompson, Washington Spirit Owner Michele Kang, Comstock Chairman and CEO Chris Clemente, NOVA President Anne Kress, INOVA Health System President Stephen Jones, RTX CEO Gregory Hayes, Northrop Grumman Charman Kathy Warden, Steve Case, Ted Leonsis, and regional economic developers Bill Tompkins of Montgomery County and Victor Hoskins of Fairfax County and Stu Solomon of Connected DMV.
This year’s Power 100 list was assembled based on how each leader influences and leads the revival of the Greater Washington region in the categories of Big Money & Financiers, Advocates & Game Changers, Builders & Dealmakers, and Hospitality Mavens.
